Bridge
Sebanyak 55 pelajar dari tingkat SD, SMP dan SMA/SMK di Lingga, terlihat dengan tekun mengikuti materi yang diberikan Priyanto, instruktur bridge dari Gabungan Brige Seluruh Indonesi (Gabsi) Provinsi Kepri, tentang tehnik permainan olahraga asah otak bridge. Pelatihan itu dilangsungkan sempena penyelenggaraan turnamaen Bribge Bupati Lingga Cup, yang berlangsung selama tiga hari dimulai sejak Jumat (13/03/2009) di Gedung Nasional Dabo Singkep.
Para pelajar yang mengikuti pelatihan dari instruktur Gabsi Kepri itu, optimis bisa menguasai tehnik bermain olahraga yang mereka yakini dapat meningkatkan kinerja motorik otak itu.
Encik Junaidi Aprizal (16), misalnya, siswa SMK Singkep yang duduk di bangku kelas 2 AK 3 itu mengatakan sangat tertarik dengan permainan bridge.
"Selama ini, saya kira bridge adalah judi, karena alat yang dipakai kartu remi. Rupanya malah olah raga," ujarnya di sela-sela makan siang seusai mengikuti pelatihan, yang sudah diikutinya sejak Jumat kemarin.
Ditambahkannya, ternyata olahraga bridge dapat memotivasi diri sebagai skill solving solution, karena bridge mengajak kita belajar manajemen dan logika matematika. "Luar biasa, bridge dapat mendongkrak IQ dan SQ, karena dalam permainannya harus menggunakan logika dan manejemen. Sebab, dalam pertandingan selalu berpasangan," katanya.
Hal senada juga dikatakan Mardianto (19), siswa lainnya. Ia mengatakan bahwa olahraga bridge dapat meningkatkan motorik berpikir dan mengajari kesabaran serta bermitra.
Ketua Gabsi Kepri, Rusliden Hutagaol yang mewakili kontingen Batam mengatakan, potensi Lingga di bidang olahraga bridge sangat bagus, dan telah terbukti bisa menduduki peringkat ketiga di Kepri.
"Potensi Lingga bagus, untuk itu perlu dan harus terus dimotivasi. Di kelas senior se Kepri, Lingga menjadi juara 3, di bawah Batam dan Karimun," papar Rusliden, Sabtu (14/3/2009).
Untuk tingkat pelajar, kata mantan Humas Otorita Batam itu, ilmu bridge sangat cocok dimasukkan dengan kurikulim pendidikan karena dapat meningkatkan brain atau iq.
"Permainan bridge adalah game, dan kategori olahraga tingkat dunia. Prinsip bridge bertolak belakang dengan judi, karena yang menentukan dalam permainan brige adalah teknik dan strategi," jelasnya.
Menurutnya, ada dua yang pelu dipikirkan dalam bridge, yakni tahap bidding atau tender dan tahap kedua adalah bagaimana merealisasi bidding. "Artinya, kita harus berupaya menghambat lawan saat realisasi terder. Ilmu yang dipakai tentunya adalah ilmu menghitung, logika, manajemen, ilmu komunikasi karena sistem patner, dan ilmu pengendalian diri atau emosi," ungkapnya.
"Inilah dasarnya kenapa bridge layak diajarkan kepada pelajar. Penelitian di Belanda, sebagai negara yang paling banyak pelajarnya memahami brige, nilai keberhasilan dalam berbagai materi kurikulum jauh lebih memiliki nilai keberhasilan dari pada yang tidak memahami bridge," paparnya.
Dalam bridge, kata Rusliden, setiap pemain diajari problem solving skill, yakni agar tidak berdebat dengan patner di hadapan lawan, sebab hasil permainan tranparan. Ilmu ini juga bukan seperti catur yang butuh full konsentrasi. Bridge enjoy dan dapat menstimulir otak, karena dalam setiap gamenya butuh waktu 7 hingga 8 menit saja.
Ketua pelaksana Kejuaraan Bridge Bupati Lingga Cup I, Milong GL mengatakan, selain perlombaan antar kabupaten/kota, sasaran lainnya adalah pengenalan bridge kepada pelajar sebagai materi p Bupati Cup Lingga I Milong GL mengatakan selain perlombaan antar kabupaten/kota, sasaran lainnya adalah pengenalan bridge kepada pelajar sebagai materi pembelajaran baru karena nyata hasilnya meningkatkan minat dan semangat belajar siswa.
Ditambahkan Milong, kontingen daerah yang ikut lomba tersebut terdiri dari peserta Batam 20 peserta, Karimun 6 peserta, Tanjungpinang 4 peserta dan Lingga 8 peserta. Kabupaten Natuna dan Anambas tidak mengirimkan timya. Sementara, siswa yang mengikuti pelatihan sebanyak 55 orang, mulai dari tingkat SD, SMP dan SMA/SMK.
"Kita berharap pemerintah daerah mendukung Gabsi di Lingga," ungkap Milong yang menyatakan acara pembukaan dipimpin laungsung oleh Bupati Lingga H. Daria, Jumat kemarin.
Pantauan batamtoday di Genung Nasional, Sabtu (14/03/2009), dari 14 board session dengan sistem victory, peraih nilai sementara adalah kontingen Batam dan diikuti kontingen Karimun.
